The Plant-Based Diet is such a good book. I rarely start a book review with my conclusion, but just in case you don't read the whole review, I want you to know that this one is a winner.

The author, Lani Muelrath, has demonstrated a real feel for the needs of her readers. I know that it's not an easy task to transition to a plant-based diet. She has organized this book logically in a simple format that facilitates this transition while providing a wealth of scientific-based evidence on which to make your decisions as you travel this path.

Lani Muelrath does not intend your journey to be along a straight line. Rather, readers will come away with a more realistic notion that they should expect to take a few steps forward and a couple back during the transition. The importance of knowing realistically what to expect will help readers avoid abandoning their journey.

To give readers the information needed, she presents a keen understanding of some of the difficulties in going plant based and provides great suggestions on how to handle..

  • eating out (restaurants, eating at a friend's house, parties, etc.)

  • making the transition with children

  • eating while away from home

  • food pushers
