The Best Diet for You
If you're looking for the answer to losing weight, this post will not reveal that for you. By Best Diet, I mean finding the best way of eating to make you the healthiest you can be. Dieting and weight loss are just a small portion of that topic.
Don't you think it's time we take the emphasis off weight and put the emphasis on health and the dilemma of what to eat to feel great?
This time of year, with all the parties and big, gigantic dinners, we often start thinking that eating everything in sight is inevitable. In the next instant, we start thinking how we'll do things differently in the new year. To help you with that process, I've come up with some questions to ask yourself to help you sort out what you want to eat and what you don't.
Does this food make me healthy?
Do I enjoy this food?
Does this food fill me up?
Does this food fill me up without weighing me down?
Do I gain weight when I eat this food?
Do I often have heartburn after eating this food?
Does this food give me lots of energy to make it through the day?
Does this diet give me enough energy to add some exercise into my day?
I have intentionally given no extra explanation for each of these questions. Instead, I will discuss my answers next week. For now, give them some thought and make a list of some of the ways that come to mind to revise your diet in the new year.
